Purpose of the role:

D&A Data Scientist role is focused on providing analytical insight to support strategic and operational decision-making for ESAN Markets. The analysis is targeted on Portfolio and Digital Channels, providing insights and impact analysis around:

• Marketing promotions: pre/post evaluation
• Key launches and business programs: pre/post evaluation and tracking
• Product, Customer Analytics as well as Buyer & Behavior Segmentation
• Portfolio changes and product forecasting
• Digital & social media: consumption

Responsibilities:

 

• Marketing Promotions – key launches and business programs – performance analysis & insights
• Develop and implement cutting-edge forecasting models to predict future trends, demand, and market/customer behavior customer behaviors based on transactional data.
• Conduct in-depth advanced analytics, utilizing statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to extract actionable insights from complex datasets.
• Lead product analytics initiatives, analyzing user behavior, product performance, and identifying opportunities for enhancement and optimization.
• Design, construct, and refine buying segmentation and behavioral segmentation models to support targeted marketing and product strategies.
• Conduct comprehensive analysis on the impact of launches and promotions, providing actionable insights to optimize future initiatives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams to translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations and strategic business decisions.
• Takes part in Global D&A community meetings around Digital/Marketing as a representative of ESAN region.

 

Requirements:

 

• Academic degree in Mathematics, Computer science, Statistics, or comparable professional experience
• 4 years in Business Intelligence
• Database management and dashboards (PowerBI / Tableau / Alteryx, SQL)
• Experience with programming languages such as Python or R, and SQL.
• Excellent Skills in MS-Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Proven experience (3 years) as Data Scientist.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python/R and experience with relevant libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, etc.).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like GCP
• Strong expertise in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning techniques.
• Demonstrated experience in forecasting methodologies and time series analysis.
• Expertise in building and implementing segmentation strategies based on consumer behavior and preferences.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) to present insights effectively.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Intellectual Agility – solid analytical and verbal reasoning ability.
• Comfortable with ambiguity – ability to adapt to complex situations, to focus & prioritize
• Savvy Communicator – effective communication skills, proactive transparent messaging to senior leadership.
• Fluent in English
• Team-orientation: ability to succeed in multi-functional global teams and to build / sustain relationships (internally and externally)
