The Manager of Strategic Communications EU/SA/ANZ is a capable, creative professional motivated to inspire, inform and engage people in powerful ways. This manager develops and guides the implementation of communications plans key to our company’s success – empowering regional and market-specific sales, initiatives that grow and transform our company for the future, and investments in change management that bring out the best in everyone involved in our enterprise.

This person plays a pivotal role in setting strategy, developing stories, defining action steps and seeing them through. It’s about reaching people across distinct channels, disciplines and geographies – and bringing them together around common goals. Key audiences include Amway employees and senior leadership, as well as the independent business owners who distribute Amway products. This work involves leading, developing and supporting a savvy team of professionals and connecting across workstreams to ensure every effort advances the others – and the vision of Amway, well into the future.

The professional in this position supports our global Director of Strategic Communications & Special Events in collaboration with the Managing Director, Senior Leadership and Change and Communications teams across the region as well as our headquarters in the United States.

What you’ll do:


  • Collaborate with our Director of Strategic Communications & Special Events and Amway sales and communication teams across the region to research and understand the needs of Amway business owners and employees in specific markets, as well as key communications vehicles, channels, events and programs.
  • Develop communication plans and strategies that build on deep market understanding and leverage traditional and emerging media to enhance relevance and impact.
  • Coordinate with communication partners in individual markets to ensure their own efforts align with global and regional strategies.
  • Establish processes to monitor, evaluate and adjust communications at market and region levels to ensure effectiveness in tune with industry best practices, brand standards and guidelines, and new insights and innovations.


  • Collaborate with our Director of Strategic Communications & Special Events and key Amway business leaders to implement a multichannel communications plan for business growth and transformation that creates clarity and stimulates engagement across Amway employees and business owners in the region.
  • Develop clear communications strategies and structures that define tactics and messages by workstream and audience.
  • Guide market communication partners in the development and implementation of their own business transformation communications plans, providing a full menu of content, assets, and tools across all channels, for use in communicating the vision, mission, changes, and impacts.


  • Collaborate with our Director of Strategic Communications & Special Events and market change leaders to deliver effective change management communications and experiences.
  • Cultivate stakeholder engagement and support for change through creative, well-considered approaches that assess readiness for change and move audiences along a progression from awareness to understanding to participation and advocacy for change. Anticipate potential risks and develop plans for mitigation.
  • Provide thought leadership and support through transitions as plans are implemented by Amway managers with their teams and in concert with business owners.


  • Lead a team of professionals in the development and implementation of multi-channel communications plans to support strong regional sales, business transformation, and change management.
  • Lead the hiring and development of key team members, including mentoring and coaching.
  • Establish clear goals, objectives, performance expectations and accountability. Foster the embrace of best practices and innovative solutions to enhance communications quality and results.
  • Set strategic direction for creative development, providing guidance and leadership to communications specialists in the creation of creative briefs that effectively communicate corporate brand and communications objectives.
  • Manage agency relationships to deliver on-time, on-budget and on-brief results that meet established objectives and strategies.
  • Oversee methods and procedures to guide consistent, high-quality communications across all channels to Amway business owners, company leadership and employees.
  • Lead the measurement and evaluation of all communications in this purview. Monitor key performance indicators to assess progress against goals. Develop recommendations to address issues and support improvements.
  • Report regularly to business transformation stakeholders and senior leadership through presentations, talking points and other communications as needed.
What you’ll need:
  • Academic degree in communications, journalism or a related field
  • 10–12 years of professional experience
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Corporate, marketing communications, and/or public relations experience – preferably with a global corporation; direct selling exposure is a plus
  • Knowledge of corporate communications and corporate brand development principles and practices; fully conversant in traditional and digital media.
  • Proven skills in developing and implementing corporate communications strategies and plans across a variety of channels and markets
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple, concurrent high-priority projects
  • Solid understanding of how communications are measured, monitored and managed
  • Ability to work with senior management, including the judgment and maturity to deal with sensitive, confidential information
  • Proven communicator with strong written, oral and listening skills; able to convey complex ideas in effective ways across audiences and cultures
  • Ability and willingness to travel for up to 20% of work schedule
